I am a senior citizen. I live in the Northeast, where we have much snow and ice. I would not be able to go out in this type of condition without my Get a Grips. I feel safe walking when wearing them. I have recommended them to others.

Rating:

It is a rare occurrence to buy a new product that works better than expected. With the threat of the ice and snow storm coming, I bought a pair of Shoe Spikes. I tried them out today as I shoveled snow from the sidewalks and driveway. Even though there was a lot of ice, I didn't slip once! Not only that, but they are easy to put on and take off.

I got a set of these traction aids as a Christmas present, and went for a run with them the Monday after Christmas. They worked great! I didn't slip at all during a 3 mile run. I'm not sure how quickly the spikes will wear down, but they are replaceable. Great product!

It was tough rating these because they work great but only lasted 6 runs for me before the rubber broke. This also happened to my friend, but he only got 4 runs in before it broke. Are they covered by a warranty? I can't find that anywhere.

My wife an I walk about 3 miles a night on country roads. In Northern WI, winter lasts from November - March.

We are into our 4th season, and they are finally showing some wear. We may need to buy new ones next year, but think that is pretty good durability.

I just love this product. During the winter Imy car has ice all around it every time it snows or sleets and two years ago I fell and hurt my knee really bad. I was afraid to even try to walk on the ice until I got these . Now I can go out to my car and not be afraid of falling. I don't know why I waited so long to get them, they are wonderful!!!

I travel to work on foot daily, and I work in a hospital. I needed something to keep me standing ont he icy sidewalks , along with walking in the snow. I purchased these, and wow, what a life saver. You still have to use caution, but It is easier to on the ice cover sidewalks. Great product

I took these things running yesterday. Very comfortable. I couldn't even feel the spikes or any "squishyness" in my gait. The crunching sound is wierd to get used to, but with my headphones on, I quickly tuned it out. I only go over a couple small patches of ice on my run, so I was most concerned about the comfort on concrete, along with durability. I couldn't even tell that the studs had been worn. I'll know more after about a week, but for now, I am very satisfied with the comfort, durability, and ice traction. I made a point to try to run naturally over the ice, and I could definitely tell a huge difference from normal running over the ice. I run in the dark, so running normally over black ice is pretty important. I don't want to end up on my head some morning. I'll leave another review in a week or two.

I purchased my 1st pair of the traction aids for this winter & I think they R fantastic... I feel much better & have more confidence when working outside.. now 2 hunt down where 2 purchase the replacement tips might B a challange -- both worth looking 4!!!

These work great. You still have to use caution, but I am wearing them on my comfortable walking shoes in the winter.

I'm old and I feel even older walking on ice this winter. These ice cleats make me feel like I'm 60 again!

I bought a pair of the 'everyday' version, and while they are an otherwise great product, the rubber compound snapped after only 2 months of walking to and from work. I will buy the 'all-purpose' version next time. I live in Canada and I tell everyone who asks about them that every Canadian should invest in a pair (although now I'll suggest the 'all purpose' over the 'everyday'. Thanks!

I bought this product for my parents and it works great! They said it worked 100X better than the other brand they previously owned.
